Computer Engineering salaries in US up 1.5% in 2017
Engineering is one of the most highly-paid industries in the US and the industry has grown over the last few years.
However, salaries in computer engineering fell in 2017.
In 2017, the average hourly salary for computer engineers was $72,923, down 2.5 percent from 2016, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
But the decline is far more pronounced in the sciences, where the average salary fell 0.4 percent from $72.78 in 2016 to $72 per hour in 2017, according the BLS.
The BLS estimates that computer engineers have the highest median annual salary in the country.
The median for computer scientists is $75,731.
In addition, the median salary for software engineers is $76,053, up 2.7 percent from the previous year.
In the last decade, the growth in computer engineers has been much faster than the overall economy.
In 2016, the industry accounted for nearly 14 percent of total US jobs.
But in 2017 the number of computer engineers and computer scientists grew at an annual rate of nearly 4 percent, according, to the BSA.
The growth in engineering is being driven by advances in computing, automation, and robotics.
In 2020, more than 4 million jobs were created by computer science and software engineering.
The number of software engineers and software scientists has grown from just over 1 million in 2020 to more than 3.6 million in 2021.
In 2018, the US added nearly 2.2 million jobs in computer science.
But, it is not all good news for computer science: The number, or number of graduates with bachelor’s degrees, fell to 5 percent in 2021 from more than 9 percent in 2020.
In 2019, the number and average salaries for computer engineering graduates increased by more than 1 percent.
However the percentage of graduates receiving higher paying jobs also fell.
In 2019, only 22.6 percent of computer engineering students earned a college degree compared to 32.2 percent in 2019.
The number of Computer Engineering graduate positions increased by 5 percent to nearly 1.3 million in 2019, and the average pay for a computer engineering graduate is now more than $100,000 per year.
However graduates in science and engineering also saw their salaries rise, up about 1.6 percentage points to $96,000.
In 2020, the most popular career in computer technology was software engineering, with the most computer scientists, and computer engineers in particular, taking jobs in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
In science, the field most represented by computer engineering was computer software, followed by engineering, manufacturing, and sales.
In 2018, there were 2.8 million computer engineering jobs in the United States, and 2.4 million computer science jobs, according TOEFL.
The total number of jobs for computer software engineers was 2.1 million, or nearly 12 percent of the total workforce, according.
The average salary for a software engineer in 2018 was $92,937, up 4.1 percent from 2017.
The unemployment rate for software developers was 4.7%, down from 4.9% in 2016.
In general, software engineers earn higher wages than other workers.
Computer engineers make more than most other occupations.
The BLS data shows that computer software developers, account for more than half of all computer software engineering jobs, and account for about 60 percent of all software engineering positions.
Computer software engineers are also the most paid in the U.S. in terms of their pay.
The average salary of a computer software engineer was $85,000 in 2017 and $92.6 in 2021, according data from the BOSS.
However in 2018, that salary jumped to $95,000, up 1 percent from 2018.
The median salary of computer software developer was $91,000 last year, and that figure jumped to nearly $100 per hour, according BOSS data.
Computer developers have also become more likely to get jobs in other industries.
In the last 10 years, the ratio of software developer jobs to total jobs has increased by about 9 percent, the BOSS data shows.
