The news is even better when you look at the average salary for a senior network engineer.
According the LinkedIn data, a senior networking engineer is expected to make $69,000 annually.
The new figures come from a report from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
The NIST data shows that the average networking engineer makes $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
The median networking engineer salary is $50,000, according to the report.
The highest paid networking engineer in the United States is at $62,000.
How Much Does A Network Engineer Earn?
Salary for Network Engineers in the US According to the NIST report, the median annual salary for network engineering is $65.25 per year, or $55K to $60K per year for a full-time worker.
That means a network engineering job requires a bachelor’s degree and some years of experience in the field.
Networking engineers can also earn additional work experience through networking projects and certifications.
NIST found that the median salaries for network engineer in 2011 were $58,500 to $61,000 and the average hourly pay was $11.20 per hour.
