AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 is “a lot of fun”
The AMD Radeon Vega 56 (X56) GPU will launch on September 10, 2018, according to the company’s VP of marketing and public relations, Chris Taylor.
The company’s Polaris 10 and Polaris 11 GPU architectures will also be available on the 10-series and 11-series models.
The Vega 56 will feature a number of new features, including an enhanced compute engine that delivers higher performance and lower power consumption, and a new audio engineering and graphics engineering product suite.
According to Taylor, the Vega 56 “is a lot of joy to work on.”
In a recent interview with Polygon, Taylor said the Vega 58 will likely debut in 2018, with the Vega 64 “likely” in 2019.
